Deka multiuse: Green
VOL. II of the Deka Waist. New materials and colors.
Deka Waist Beads are a traditional African accessory from Ghana; a form of personal expression that goes beyond mere adornment. Wear them as a necklace, as waist beads or in many other ways.
Rich in symbolism: each color has a meaning. A symbol of femininity, fertility, sensuality and spiritual well-being.
The Cedi Bead collection originates from a small, remote workshop in Krobo, eastern Ghana, tucked away on an unpaved road.
Beads have a long history in this country and are made by artisans from recycled glass bottles; a meticulous and precise process.
This collection is a triple impact model. Social and economic impact. Vulnerable communities are empowered. Environmental impact: Glass is recycled as raw material, manually crushed with a mortar and using wood-fired ovens. A complex process from start to finish.
